DKL Marketing has been distributing the best range of toys from its Northampton Headquarters for 20 years. Founded in March 1989 by the Hawaleschka family, DKL’s name originates from family names Dorte, Kai,Lise. Kai Hawaleschka (Managing Director) has been in toys for most of his life having his interest sparked by his father who owned factories in Sweden and Denmark. Still a family owned business and growing all the time with new companies requesting DKL to distribute their products. As well as running DKL Kai is also a board member of the British Toy & Hobby Association.

Our ethos has always been to "make children happy" through offering a diverse range of quality fun and educational toys. Today, DKL is the sole UK distributor of four top brands; Hama® bead products, plastic Viking Toys®, Wonderworld wooden toys and Corolle quality dolls.

Distributing these great brands has meant that on occasion DKL's achievements have been recognised by toy industry bodies. Most recently, we were awarded a Special Recognition Award at the 2007 Toy Retail Association Gala. We are of course pleased to be credited for our hard work, but we gain most satisfaction from providing outstanding toys to children.

Several of our products have been awarded prizes based on the High Quality and Play Value through the "Best Toy Awards", "Good Toy Guide" and "Practical Parent Magazine." We believe that waste reduction and recycling should be an integral part of our day to day operations. Consequently, we use a paper recycling collection service, recycle print cartridges, and encourage energy saving measures such as reducing paper waste, and switching off unused lights and equipment.
